I'm talking to a friend from school and she was asking me about an '80s movie she saw on television a while ago. She didn't give me that many details, but she said:

    - i saw it like a million years ago and never found out the title
    - and it was like a coming of age movie...
    - drama, about a bunch of teenagers.. hahaha and there was this phrase they used... "the beat the beat, bam bam" or something???
    - umm ok... like the main boy was an outcast and a little weird, and no one liked him
    - and then he met up with this boy and girl and they became friends...
    - they smoked pot
    - and met up with other potheads... uhhhhm
    - and they had a big gang
    - and they rode the "subway"
    - and some other group of kids wanted to fight them or something
    - but they didnt fight at all
    - and towards the end.. they have this school play thing that gets canceled

Does anybody know what movie she is thinking of?

Sorry. But no. If she remembers the names of any characters, you may be able to do a search on IMDb. I recently found the name of an old 70s b-movie I saw as a kid just by remembering a character's name was Phoenix.

She doesn't remember any of the character names or anybody who was in it.

I have a title that has been bugging me for years to find out and I dont want to start another thread. I saw this on TV late night once and have no clue what the title was..

    -- 1980s
-- husband and wife are lost in the city late at night
    -- chased by gang members
    -- fights in a sewer
-- basically are on the run the whole movie
-- claw their way out through a man hole cover at the break of dawn... the end

It reminded me alot of Judgement Night.. that type of movie.. lost in the wrong part of town late at night.

    Any help is appreciated

Matt. I didn't look it up, but there was a Judgment Night type movie starring, I think, Richard Thomas. I expect that was it.

Matthew. That sounds slightly like The Warriors, though I'm sure it isn't. Probably a TV rip-off of it.

No, it definitly wasnt the Warriors.. It might have been a made for tv movie.. not sure.

John, I just looked up Richard Thomas online and yes, it was Final Jeopardy...

    Plot:
A small-town couple find themselves stranded in an unfamiliar, and unfriendly, big city. Weaving in and out of the proceedings are a bunch of murderous criminals with names like Slash, Doa and Ice. The couple are in for a night that they won't forget

    Thanks
    - Matt

Ocie, with #2, are you thinking of the movie Over The Edge? I asked her if it was Over The Edge and she told me no, then again, there are no school plays or subways in that film.
