I am looking to add a sub to my jbl s38 stereo setup. I need a sub for music. I don't want the jbl subs, and I am looking for a reasonably priced sub that I probably could find on ebay of the used subwoofer page. I can't find a used svs sub on ebay for my budget, which is 300 or less. Even if your sub costed more than that new, please respond. Also,tell me if it's active or passive. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

You might be able to find a used Velodyne CHT 12 or 15, or maybe a Hsu VTF-2 on Ebay in your price range. If you want to spend even less, look at the Sony WM40 for around $160.00 street price. Sears has them on sale ocassionally. These are all active.
