Since Matthew Chmiel had reasonable success with his haircut thread years ago, I thought I'd try it myself.

Here is a shot of my head in its present condition:

I realize I have less hair ro work with than young Matthew... but I want something different.

*please excuse the color in the photo... it was taken with a crappy cell phone camera... my neck isn't normally that yellow... or is it? I can't see it.

I say you brown bag it.

No, I'd get it #2'd or 1 on the sides and then about an inch on the top. Have them blend it short to long going up the sides and then short to longer, back to front on the top. Comb it forward and push the front up. Alot of people have this but only because it works for us hair receeders.
Shave the 'stache then switch the chin part to an upside-down t or y. Strip going down the middle from bottom lip then out to the sides about an inch or two.

Then go stand in front of a mirror and say Damn! Chris was right. I look good." And then go and have a peanut buster parfeit from Dariy Queen.

I would recommend this...Go to a real hair stylist. Not one that works at magic cuts but a real stylist. They will know what style would be best for your head shape, hairline etc...

    Richard, so subtle...

Dave, #2, #2, #2 and let that Van Dyke grow out a bit. You're all off-balance, you've got that chin-hair all snug with a #1 and your hair is a borderline Tom Green thing.

    #2 hair
grow the Dyke out to about a 4

That's a really crappy Dell monitor you have there too. Replace that [IMG]

Oops, I reread it and it does seem like a bit of a slag towards Dave. :b
I by no means meant that you have an oddly shaped head or a bad hairline or that you must frequent Magic Cuts.[IMG]
What I meant was that a good stylist will know how to look at you and your features and be able to tell you what cut would best suit you.
Sorry if there was any confusion

I say you shave it, you could pull off a Jason Statham type look:

    http://www.minireviews.com/interviews/statham.jpg

Start working out and drop a few pounds and you're there. Could be a whole 'make-over' for you! And keep the facial hair, if you like it. I don't understand why it's so 'bad' to have facial hair.
