When are Lucille Ball's movies going to arrive on DVD???

So far we have
Stage Door (1937 - coming soon on DVD)
Room Service (1938)
Fancy Pants (1950)
Yours, Mine and Ours (1968 - should be in widescreen format but it's not)

Any feedback or information would be great.

Dave,

Douglas Sirk's Lured (1947) is also available on DVD from Kino and the disc is very good.

Lured huh???

I have to check my video store for this one (but I'm not sure if they have a lot of old movies on DVD)

What is the movie about?

LURED is a terrific thriller about a series
of sex fiend murders. Ball is a dance hall girl employed by Scotland Yard as a bait to find the killer when her friend is killed. The interesting cast includes George Sanders, Boris Karloff, Charles Coburn, and Cedric Hardwicke.

SORROWFUL JONES with Bob Hope is also available as is "Three Little Pigskins" with the Stooges and a virtual bit/extra part in BROADWAY BILL.

I was hoping the DVD would've been better than what's on cable, I was surprised it turned out to be the other way around.

I liked the Dark Corner.

This is a good suspense mystery . Was recently on Fox Movie channel

Lucy plays the secretary to a private eye. She is always asking for size 9 stockings. Clifton Webb is in it in the same type of role he played in Laura. William Bendex plays the bad guy.
The detective Lucy works for is framed for murder and it is up to Lucy and the detective to find the real murderer. The detective is played by Mark Stevens. They then get married and move to 623 E 68th St. Just kidding about the last part.

It's been awhile, but any news (besides The Dark Corner) of upcoming Lucy releases?

Warner has a lot of her movies (from RKO and MGM)

Sony could release a five-disc movie set

The first disc could be a documentary of her movies at Columbia with clips of the movies she made at Columbia during the early 1930's.

The other four discs could be her pictures at Columbia:
Her Husband's Affairs (1947)
Miss Grant Takes Richmond (1949)
The Fuller Brush Girl (1950)
The Magic Carpet (1951)

Let's get the ball rolling (no pun intended)..lol

There's one she did with Edgar Bergen, I think titled Look Who's Laughing, that had other radio stars in it as well. I taped it off a TV showing years ago, but would love to have a cleaned up DVD of this one. It's a nice film from that era with bits of stars gone by. I have a publicity picture from it that was signed by both Lucy and Bergen.

Warner Brothers........

Please create a boxset of Lucille Ball movies. I really think it would sell like hotcakes.

Here are some suggestions of movies. I will bold the ones I would like to see first in a set of 7 movies:

The Affairs of Annabel (1938)
Annabel Takes a Tour (sequel to The Affairs of Annabel - 1938)
Five Came Back (action adventure - 1939)
Dance, Girl, Dance (drama with Maureen O' Hara - 1940)
Too Many Girls (with Desi Arnaz - 1940)
The Big Street (drama with Henry Fonda - 1942)
Valley of the Sun (western - 1942)
Du Barry Was a Lady (with Red Skelton and Gene Kelly - 1943)
Best Foot Forward (1943)
Thousands Cheer (1943)
Two Smart People (film noir - 1946)
Easy to Wed (with Esther Williams - 1946)
The Long, Long Trailer (with Desi Arnaz - 1954)
Forever, Darling (with Desi Arnaz - 1956)
Critic's Choice (with Bob Hope - 1963)
Mame (1974)

Without Love (1945) should be in a Spencer Tracy/Katherine Hepburn boxset

What do you guys think???
