Especially the new, softened with "lots of young female Lesbian naked skin" shows...they have 3somes taking onstage showers! A little mid-morning Soft porn, is a good way to start your day!

I do get a little put off when someone 450pounds starts stripping down to their panties, and flaunting their dripping fat all over the stage. I LOVE THE FOODFIGHTS AT WEDDINGS AND THANKSGIVING !

The WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! and new gritty alley shot to a broken Tv open! The camera sweeping over the rolling throng of the audience!

Springer CAM ! The best one so far is the one where the miffed spouse dumps a truckload of manure into and onto her husbands car...now that's MAD ! And those homes...are Americans that dirty and cruddy and roach ridden, on the inside ? UGHHHHH ! Apparently they ARE. Get the Roach Motel!

The Audience...thumbs up, thumbs down Amurican justice, better than Caesar gave Romans at the old Coliseum with the Lions! Better justice than Judge Judy can ever provide !!!

How about those roaring chants of of "We Love Lesbians" and "Incest Whore"...and the false looking fights!

Steve...as he imparts wisdom to the guests on the end credits...I wonder if HE is a transexual all the time and I don't know why. And when nubile young wimen rub their boobies all over his shaved head for good luck!

I love the Star and the National Enquirer too, so this is for me...how about you ?

Reading this post after reading your attack of Black Hawk Down and its supposed "patriotic jingoism" is quite interesting. You seem to have some serious beef with the US and/or its citizens. Chill out, brother, give up some love.

Mike, TRUST ME...you're reading tooooo much into it, as I'm not that deep, as it were.

I love Springer, because it's better than what ANY film or Tv producer can put together. How EVERYONE condems the show, and NO ONE seems to watch it. Amazing. It's pure entertainment, and Tv Real!

On "Black Hawk/Ship Down" my opinion on how, as a nation, we have gone over the edge on The 9-11 Trauma. It's the hypocrisy of how people...places of employment, e.g, cancelled Xmas celebrations, completely, all because of 9-11 Thing. I love post-9-11, General Motors Tv commercial..collage of smoldering WTC shots...on how "we"...meaning unions and The Company...must get together after this tragedy...GM logo presented very prominently, thank you! Let's produce more unsafe cars, and let's sell em with Tv Heart...and upon the still warm, dead bodies of others. Only in America...30seconds of...Lerve, oops...Love.

Well, I'll stay out of the 9/11 debate.

But I will say that I used to really enjoy Springer (way back when they used to show the fights). And it's not because they SHOWED the fights (even though that was a good thing). It was because it seemed more REAL. I actually believe that these were just white-trash (I hope nobody takes offence) people hashin' out their trailer-park troubles!

Now it just seems faked.

Springer lost it's edge years ago (was it 1998 or 1999?) when Springer had to tone down the show due to the fights taking on stage, the rampant profanity, and all the nudity. The show went downhill pretty fast and has never been as good as it used to be (but then again I wouldn't know as I haven't watched it since 1999).

Also, I was 11 - 13 at the time the show was at it's prime (as you could say) and rednecks beating each other up amused me, but now of days, it doesn't.

I absolutely despise the show but must admit when channel surfing I always stop for a couple of minutes hoping to catch "a glimpse". I don't care what it is...a chair over the head, some naked woman, foul language...whatever. My little adrenaline rush ends after 30 seconds or so and then I move on to the next station. Except wrestling. Springer is much better than that.

As far as social commentary, doesn't COPS accomplish the same thing as Springer, with real white trash, rather than the soap opera wannabes who pop up on Springer. I would put COPS in the time capsule and leave Springer for the garbage heap.

There is nothing like listening The Jerry Crowd, gives thumbs down to trailer park types!

Besides..."Cops" doesn't have Steve and the closing Jerry Philosophy Corner spot !

I stopped watching Springer about 1 1/2 years ago because it had lost it's edge, but in the past 1/2 year or so, it has gotten a lot better. Jerry figured out how to make a succesful TV program that doesn't involve the KKK and chair tossing. The Springer Cam was terrible at first, but it has gotten much better, showing shorter shots that are to the point. So I have quite enjoyed it for the past 1/2 year, I hope it continues to improve.

Im with MikeAW I still love Jerry I have not missed a single ep. yet in 8 years. I will always watch him, I have seen every talk show for the early eighties till now. None of which survived the talk show wars back in 97. Now Im not saying he quality programming or anything but he is pretty inventive when it comes to shows.
