    Good choice?

    Any comments on this model?

It doesn't have the itegrated HDTV Tuner, but I won't need it as my cable provider will be supplying an HD box at no additional charge.

I think this is a outstanding choice. This unit is on my short-list as well.

In November, a magazine put about 6 HDTVs together and did a side-by-side comparison, including this Hitachi.

While the out-of-box performance was not great (it was turned up very bright) the reviewers were impressed with the multiple video settings and the "ISF" menu to help calibrate the unit. It had lots of other nice features like it ships in 2 units for ease of installation, it has separate adjustments per input, descrete "jump-to-input-X" on the remote, etc. All the extras that separate a basic HDTV from a outstanding unit.

    Thanks, Bob! Good to hear!

Now I just need to locate my Video Essentials DVD before the unit arrives.
