I hate service contracts, but.... (1 Viewer)

I got one in the mail today from Best Buy asking me if I want to extend my service agreement on my RCA MM52110 Rear Projection 4:3 HD television.

What is the track record on these things? I want to renew, but they want 398.38 for 3 years. I am thinking about just signing up for one year at 165.99.

I really hope it breaks down and they have to come put new parts in it or replace it with something equivalent.



Any thoughts?

i paid 250 for 5 years on my new samsung dlp, it was 500 but the salesman said he would sell it for 250 which leads me to beleive they make a ton of money on them, if you really want one ask for a deal, but 400 bucks for three years is alot i think, its a good start on a new tv
