There was some talk of a possibility on a recent Larry King Live. The priciples knew nothing much though. I'd buy it certainly. I enjoy the campiness and the swinging 60's look. Jeannie was a favorite from age 8-13 for me.

So with all the rumors flying about concerning Bewitched being released on DVD I was wondering if maybe the plans for I Dream of Jeannie have changed considering that the IDOJ movie (according to IMDB.com isn't scheduled for release until 2006).

As Gord mentioned on his site IDOJ on DVD was supposed to coincide with the movie release.

I've also been thinking that when it is released, unlike BW, I would like the first season to be colorized because I think Jeannie looks much better in color, though I wouldn't be too upset if it were in black and white.

I hope it's not colorized. The first season has been airing recently on TV Land, and it looks beautiful in B&W.

I really want Jeannie to come to DVD, I been waiting. I know that Larry King Interview you talking about, I have it actually. But, Barbara, Larry or Bill didn't know if it was or not. So maybe in the future.

This is another show, along with Bewitched, that I hope to see on DVD.

Bewitched and IDOJ are two of my all-time 60's series. We haven't heard about IDOJ for '05 but Bewitched looks like it'll be released this year.

I'm pretty sure that Jeannie will be held up until 2006 since the remake film is held up until then.

I'd prefer the first season be released in the original B/W version on DVD, but all 30 B/W shows have *already* been colorized and shown on TV around the world. Hallmark Channel ran them circa 2000-2002, but TV Land runs the original B/W prints.

Sony could always do the "Chroma Choice" thing as they did on some recent Three Stooges DVDs and will do on some other upcoming discs.

Black and White and colorized versions on the same disc...the feature allows you to toggle back and forth with the remote.

Now if they can only give me that option on color shows, to make them black and white.
