I, Claudious being shown on Trio

    I watched the first two episodes last night. They seem to be uncut (commercial interruptions were quite brief, and nudity was present). For those who aren't inclined to buy it on DVD, this looks like a good way to see it.

    Love this series. Got it on DVD the day it was released. Watched it over the course of about four weeks, only one episode per sitting. Really helped keep the feel of it that way.

    Great series. I bought it on first release as well.
    There the similarity ends. I watched it all in one sitting the first night. [​IMG]

    About all I can say is the standard "better than VHS"... I didn't notice any problems with the transfer to DVD, but the limitations of something shot on videotape in the mid-70s are very apparent. Mono sound only.

    There's a 71 min. documentary on the last disc called The Epic That Never Was, about the famous ill-fated Hollywood version (starring Charles Laughton) that was partially filmed but abandonded...
