Ok, I have a problem people. I have some JBL N26's (Not the N26II's), and I need speaker stands. I've been going without for almost a year now, and decided it's finnally time to try and find some I can afford.

Unfortunatly, there are not any Home Theater shops in my area, so I cannot find any from there. So i turn to you. Does anyone know where I could find some speaker stands that would work?

PLEASE help me with this. I plan on getting my first HT subwoofer as soon as I get my tax return next year, and I want to have everything set up so that all I need is the sub to complete my set up.

    Thank you for ALL help.............Wil

The trusty, friendly folks at Audioadvisor.com have a vast selection in all price ranges. Crutchfield.com and J&R (JandR.com) also are good sources, albeit with fewer choices. They all offer a generous, hassle-free return policy.

Thank you for keeping us safe, airman.

    Have a great weekend!

Thank you John, that was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.
Thank you Alex for your suggestion as well. I now have a new website to go look for things at. [IMG]..........Wil

I too have the same problem.
I need a stand no more than 22" for a Vienna Oratorio center channel.
The base of the speaker is 29.5" x 14.5" BIG.
Would two stands be stable enough?

Ah....Thanks Valerie. I was looking for those. But by chance do you know how sturdy they are? For example, can you put sand in the bottom or something so that they stay put?

See, I have a 7 week old daughter that in only a matter of months, will be crawling, then walking, and I don't want them to be easy to tip over.

    Thanks for the help!...........Wil

Sorry, Wil, but I have never used or seen them before. I made a purchase at HypAudio, recently and noticed the stands. I would think that when they engineered, that stability would have been a consideration. I would imagine it knocked, they would just wobble (webbles wobble but they don't fall down [IMG] ). If you little linebackers...could be a problem.
I would just use some "Banana" plugs at your speaker connections and disconnect/store your speakers between use; or just move the stands/speakers to a less vulnerable spot between use.
They also make wall brackets (WSN26) that I would imagine are similar to the ones that came w/ my N24s (ball-joint design).
Just remember that a heavy stand could hurt young children if they come into hard contact. Better to have a ding/scuff in a speaker than a child in the hospital!
    Take Care, Wil. [IMG]
