Amazon Createspace (read: MOD) had a bunch of sets available a while back, each covering a specific week. Many were from the original run (1968-1976).

All episodes still exist, however the second run from '79 to '01 is more popular since that's what has been broadcast the most in the last 20 or so years. Much like Dragnet, the original run went into the vaults for the most part when the new one had enough episodes to be shown in rotation.

According to the South American river site ...

There's quite a few DVDs of Misterogers ...

;)

The ones currently offered on Amazon appear to be complete episodes on DVD-R (MOD) direct from the Fred Rogers Company ...(I'm sure the PBS set will be pressed discs)
The new one is $16.99 for 30 episodes which is still a pretty good deal ...

Hopefully not a sign of what has and hasn't survived.

Amazon Prime has free episodes to stream as far back as 1967. It's amazing to see how the show evolved over the years. So many great memories of some of the places he visited and his "neighbors". However, I never liked the operas. Ever.
