Looking for a good quality Camcorder, I think, because the prices are dropping so rapidly, That a Mini-DV is the way to go. (Right now, anyway.) There are three that caught my eye at the local B&M... two Panasonic's, and one JVC. All were around the 3-400.00 range. That will probably be my price range.

I was looking to spend more for a JVC hard drive one but I want reviews, any good websites online?

I hear Panasonic is tops then Sony but I am sure it depends on model.

Me personally the only way I would get tape is the Sony HD camera for $2k.

Thanks Dan,
I only just started researching, and I know the DVD versions are what I would like...But definitely no fundage.
So...Mini DV is it for now. (I have a new kid on the way, and would like to record some memories.)
How about the transfer from mini... to computer... to disc..., any good programs out there??
