I came close to buying Traffic tonight for 15 bucks at Walmart.
Does anybody know if the SE is a definite? If so, when will it be released? What all will be on it? I'd like to get this for 15 bucks, but if there's going to be a lot on the SE, I might just wait.
Can anybody shed some light on this?

I've definitely heard chatter about a Traffic SE before. My understanding was that Soderbergh was already busy dealing with Oceans 11 when the original DVD was released. Therefore, the intention was for him to revisit Traffic when his busy schedule allowed it.
Given Soderbergh's historical support of the DVD format, I'm pretty sure this disc will be redone as an SE at some point. It's just a question of when.

Unless it has been officially announced, any talks about an SE is pure speculation at this point. Hopefully, this title gets revisited in the future.

This title screams for SE treatment!! I think it was a rush job on the studio's part to cash in on the Oscar hoopla. Soderbergh has been so good to the dvd format that I can't believe he will leave it the way it is.
