HVAC rigid fiberglass board for sound? (1 Viewer)

I am building a 12 1/2 X 25 ft HT and I was thinking of using some of the HVAC rigid fiberglass board covered with fabric on the walls. This is the kind they use to make ac trunk lines. Is this stuff pretty much the same as the expensive stuff you see the HT companies using?

Yeap it's similar. BUT you don't want to start with it on the walls.

Build the room. Set-up the sound system, measure and listen to the in-room performance, add sound panels as needed and where needed.
