I recall a rumor that there was consideration being given to a rerelease of the Jack Ryan movies, but it wasn't in the near future and wasn't a priority. If true, this is too bad - I'm also waiting for a rerelease.

Paramount intends to rerelease SEs of all the first 3 Jack Ryan movies in time for the theatrical release of Sum of all Fears.

When Martin Blythe (from Paramount) canvassed the forum for what they wanted, an SE of HFRO was mentioned very often, and since then as well. I am confident we will see it and hopefully soon.

Karen, I would be patient and wait for a new edition of this movie. I purchased the current dvd several months ago and promptly returned it after viewing. The picture and sound seemed no better than my VHS copy.

On the other hand, the picture and sound were WAY better than when I had NO copy.
