I saw the post on HTPCs and I am very interested.
My questions are/ #1 what is the max distances the projector can be from the pc.
#2 can I run my cable through the pc for scaling.
and last, what is the best video card to use for HT use

There's a whole section dedicated to HTPC and PCs in gerneal, this thread will probably be moved.

1) People usually buy 25' cables but with digital connections such as DVI you won't have to worry about signal degradation.

2) You can scale analog S-Video sources, with relatively cheap capture cards. You can also input component 480i sources but with more expensive cards like the PDI Deluxe or Holograph 3D. For scaling DVDs it's best to just play them with a DVD-ROM in your computer for compete filtering in the digital domain.

Not true! But with 25 ft you should be ok.

I know, bad answer but technically it's possible. You aren't planning on going over 65' are you?
