One of my options to hook up to an NEC LT150 is an HTPC..another is an RP 91 ( on diff. thread). Now with regards to getting an HTPC, can I just buy from dealers like Dell that can already work great? I can get around PCs but I've never tried to build my own. AVS has great boxes but way too much money for 'em I think. Besides, I would also like to "use" the PC as well..like for gaming, etc.

Well, maybe. There are a few cheaper vendors that sell Home Theater PC's, and then there are Dell and Gateway, which are selling what you don't need for very cheap now. If you go with Dell or Gateway, make sure the system is upgradable. Dell is usually okay about that. It's just hard to get a PC from someplace like Dell and get exactly what you'd want: a Radeon LE or DDR, a quiet DVD drive, etc.
It's not that hard to build your own PC, though at some point you'll probably be pulling out your hair. You can get directions at Link Removed to subscribe to Philips_HDTV discussion group
