HTPC and DTS brain fart

    I am tired so I am not thinking straight.

    I have a shuttle SN41G2 with the Nforce 2 chipset with the MCP-T southbridge and Crush18G northbridge. The system has built in 5.1 nforce sound. I also have the digital out card (digital coax and fiber optic TOSLink). I install my new DVD burner and soon will hook up my fiber cable to my new receiver that is coming. Will it decode DTS no problems? Will I need a DTS capable sound card (not sure if the Nforce 2

    If the digital out card supports bit for bit output without processing, itr should be fine. I use the Maudio for digital output, and it passes everything fine.

    This is assume you have a receiver that can handle DTS...

    It will go to a Pioneer VSX-D811. Should be fine. (supports DTS-ES).

    I will report back on the Shuttle add-on card's ability to pass DTS on with the MCP-T southbridge.
