HTiB's & Speaker Wire (1 Viewer)

I just got my brother a Yamaha YHT-100 for his birthday. I'll be going over to his place to set it up next weekend. I've read that most of these HTiB's use fairly cheap speaker wire. Should I bring some heavier gauge wire and if so, how heavy?

Probably don't need more than 16ga. unless you have long runs for the surrounds, in which case 14 should take care of everything.

Sometimes these HTIB systems use proprietary connectors on the speaker wire. If so, you’re hosed.

These are standard connections, Wayne. I already have some 16-gauge wire, so I'll bring it with me. Thanks.
