I bought this blindly just because it is in 3D.

It's still awfully, awfully expensive. Is this an import? I might be better just ordering from Amazon.uk

No, it's not an import. Most domestic 3D releases are around $30 these days. That's what I've paid for the past few domestic titles, usually pre-ordered from Best Buy. List price is usually $35. Sometimes you can save a couple dollars if you find a sale, but I haven't seen too many recent domestic 3D releases for much less than around $25-30.

The UK edition is currently £20. Subtracting VAT leaves around £16.67, plus £5 or so for shipping, puts you around £21-22 or $26-27, so it's not a huge difference. Though If you're willing to wait, the UK releases sometimes drop to around £10-12 after a few months. That would be a more significant difference.

Thanks for researching that. I'll keep the U.S. order and grumble a little that the few enthusiasts that are left are paying a premium for titles. Hopefully there will be a bit of a price drop by release date.

Did not see this in the theater in 3D; but enjoyed the film and am pretty optimistic re: the 3D presentation to expect for this.

Again -- beware this is the stripped version without the 2D disc. The full version has sold less than $25 a few times already since release. B&N had the std 3D title for $17-18 a few weeks ago and almost all these Warner 3D titles tend to drop to $20 fairly regularly after 6-9 months.

Should have known not to order anything Disney from Amazon.

Fortunately, my local Best Buy had 1 more copy left in stock. They are holding it for pickup.
