Amazon recently did this to me with The Grinch 3D. I'd pre-ordered back in December, and somehow that order got left behind when they created a new page for the title and abandoned my pre-order page. I had to go through chat to get them to honor the pre-order price via a cancellation and re-order process (which they did just fine, without question). But it was an inconvenience. I doubt I'll pre-order again that far in advance.

One would hope that perhaps James Cameron has the power to compel a 3D blu-ray release. But then again, he apparently couldn't swing a domestic 3D blu release of T2.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a 3D disc, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t. That’s just how it seems to be these days.

Well, Zavvi and the Hut said they were SOLD OUT. So, doesn't that mean there is going to a 3Der, or does it mean something else?

How can they be sold out of a product that hasn’t even been announced or confirmed to exist yet?

She’s a tortie, isn’t she? Our tortie, is almost 19 too. She has been remarkably healthy here whole life. If wonder it it’s a tortie trait?

I see the resemblance, especially in the claws. I love black cats, we have two now and others have been family members.

Was that a decent enough movie to own? It got ravaged by critics and made next to nothing at the box office?

Guys, here in the UK it seems that Alita Battle Angel 4k 3D steel book combo was available to pre order but I missed it, a few managed to pre order it though before it’s out of stock, i see a few on eBay for pre release buy it now at inflated prices... I do hope I can get at least a 3D copy in the future.

As best as I can tell it was up for less than 24 hrs so actually sold out seems incredibly unlikely since I don't think more than a couple dozen motivated people had a chance to get an order in. Zavvi says sold out, but I can't find a post that ever says it was live.

There's more to this somewhere -- either everyone jumped the gun or they posted a combo-pack that really isn't going to happen.

Yes she’s a Tortie, I’m hoping that your right about your hunch, our black one was always in trouble and at the vets being sewn up!.

We had 2 previous cats, mother and daughter, both torties and hated the vets, they didn’t live as long but we both smoked back then and in the house.

The difference is that Cameron should have more clout with Fox since he continues to work with them on the "Avatar" movies.

If Cameron really wants "Alita" on 3D BD, Fox is probably more inclined to care about his wishes than Lionsgate...

I just pre-ordered How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 3D at Amazon UK for £13.31 (after VAT reduction from £15.99) plus shipping.

Ordinarily I'd wait and see if there's doing to be a domestic release, but that seemed like a very good price (about $22.80 including shipping). And there's still time to cancel if I decide I'd rather buy a domestic version.

The unlikely premise delivered a totally unique movie with tour-de-force visuals and a solid 3D presentation. Maybe that's not enough.

Sounds like a number of my favorite movies. :P

Given the decline in 3D releases, I'll probably pick it up sometime just to have another 3D title, but not for £22.99.

And Venom 3D has shipped from Amazon.de :thumbs-up-smiley:
