A very balanced review. I didn't own the SDVD of this film yet, and I will think it over carefully now, whether or not to acquire the HD version.

As I recall this film is adapted from a Korean release of a few years ago. I have not seen Lake House yet (I have the SD disc) but I found the Korean film quite good. The original Korean film can be found on Amazon and shows up with search for Lake House. As I recall, it was house by the sea in the Korean film.

The original Korean film is great. It's called Il Mare. If you get a chance you should check it out. I'm just not a big fan of Keanu.

Danny, I purchase quite a few Korean films on DVD and I do have Il Mare. I also liked it very much. I lived in Korea for 12 years from 1979-1990. In late 1990 I moved to Japan and livrd there for 12 years with return to USA at start of 2003.
