Since that publicity still was never used in the original poster art from either film (that I can find) it's hard to know which film it was actually created for.

because she does wear it in You were never lovelier, so I don't think it's that hard to know to what film that still corresponds.

But the TT cover pic was used on the Columbia VHS release of ...

yes, this is a totally different dress.
it's not only the added pom-poms and the brooch.
it's an entirely different design.
Notice eg. the design on the chest, the closed crew neck (i'm sorry, is this the right word?) and the added sleeves in the "you were never lovelier" dress.

Pretty much every Sony / Twilight release has come from titles that Sony has restored and prepped for DCP use for their theatrical library, so the answer would be partially yes, But I doubt he is involved with the actual transfers created for broadcast and Twilight use, which are for the most part simple digital conversions of the superb masters he has helped create.

I certainly hope we see You Were Never Lovelier on Blu-ray. My guess is that as the Astaire/Hayworth
team is now on Sony's radar, it's probably just a matter of time.

As a follow up to this old thread I was wondering if anyone knows what became of this gown after the movie filming 77 years ago ? Is it in a collection or a museum, or has it been lost ?
