The Hot Rock! Haven't seen this in a very long time. Westlake was one of my favorite authors -- sure miss his Dortmunder novels.
I'm hoping for some more horror or sci-fi. Maybe in October.
Wow. All impressive but REALLY looking forward to watching the Hot Rock with Q's isolated score!
Nothing for me. Waiting for 3-D or 50's scope titles.
Still hoping and dreaming that Barabbas, Salome, The Long Ships, The Story of Ruth, Esther and the King or Francis of Assisi might make it somehow someday. Still, Genghis Khan was an utterly fantastic surprise. So VERY grateful for that one!
Good question. I have never watched any yet. Looking forward to watching Man In The Dark, Inferno, Miss Sadie Thompson, Mad Magician, Gun Fury and Harlock score only so I can focus on the 3D.Are all titles with isolated score synced to what's on the screen? I find some with many minutes of no sound.
The Hot Rock will definitely be one for me.View attachment 46431GLORIA (1980) BLU-RAY - August 21st

A priceless gem of a comedy thriller now sparklingly polished in a brand-new 4K restoration transfer to make hi-def Blu-ray home theater screens gleam! “Offers four crime capers
for the price of one, six beautifully characterized criminals and metropolitan
New York settings of splendid definition” (Archer Winsten, New York Post), all adding up
to “the most hilarious cops and robbers yarn in years” (Jeffrey Lyons, WPIX-TV/New York).

“Bless it, has two or three scenes good enough for any caper movie ever made.” – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
“What’s not to like? The picture has two adorable stars and a writing pedigree reaching back to thriller favorite Donald Westlake through top writer William Goldman. As Variety would put it, all tech credits are tops.” – Glenn Erickson, DVDTalk.com
The Hot Rock(1972) is a clever caper film with multiple capers, but all focused on a single, elusive object: the Sahara Stone, long a hot potato between two African countries, now about to be snagged out of its spot at the Brooklyn Museum by a quartet of capable but luckless thieves. The extraordinary cast is led by Robert Redford, George Segal, Ron Leibman, and Paul Sand, supported by the dazzling likes of Moses Gunn and Zero Mostel. Adapted from one of Donald Westlake’s delightful John Dortmunder novels by the singular William Goldman, the film is directed with panache by the great Peter Yates, and features a sensational Quincy Jones score.
