Unfortunatley that reunion movies are not enough of an incentive for me to double dip on this set. I own the individual season sets and that's fine with me. If in the future the reunion movies are offered separately then I'll pick them up.

New extras are one thing, but making additional episodes (i.e., these reunion movies) exclusive to the complete series is spitting in the eye of the faithful fans of the series whose purchases led to the release of the entire series in the first place. Total B.S. from CBS/Paramount. You lose if you don't support the series (it doesn't get released at all) and you lose if you do support the the series (the reunion movies are only available via an expensive double dip in packaging that doesn't adequately protect the discs and doesn't fit on your shelves). Bah, humbug!

The reunion movies are together on a silver disc, whereas all the other discs have artwork. I certainly don't think that Paramount would miss an opportunity for fresh money by bringing out the tv-films out sooner, rather than later.

This set is pretty nice. I bought mine at Target and have watched the entire first season. Some discs did have scratches on them, but, still played flawlessly. The reunion movies have been restored as well and look awesome. I never owned any of the season sets so this was an easy choice for me. I do agree with Charles that eventually the reunion movies will see an individual release from the box set. Even though it's exclusive now, it really doesn't have to be. I can see them putting it out down the road.

Yep my feelings too. Ive got s1-4 indivual sets and are happy with them I see no real need to get them just for the two reunion movie (which were ok at best).

Paramount insults the true fans with a much sought-after title that is exclusive to the set. Your line praising Paramount should have read:

"Paramount deserves *derision* for restoring these 2 revival movies and *only* including them in this complete series set."

I'll not double-dip as my season release packaging is far superior. When will studios get the message that "cut" or "special" packaging is just as insulting as exclusives?

If the movies ever get a separate release I'll consider them if the price is right.

I don't have much faith about individual releases for the movies. "Return To Mayberry," included only on the complete ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, still hasn't seen a separate release, and it's been a while on that one.

I'm not so sure I agree, even though in theory you are certainly correct. One would think that a company interested in making money would surely make these TV films available separately so as to collect more dollars from the loyal fans that bought the season sets as they came out. BUT NO... CBS/Paramount has yet to make available "Return to Mayberry", an exclusive dvd they issued only with their Complete Andy Griffith Show set. I'm pretty sure the same can be said with MacGyver as well. And both of those mega sets have been out for over a year!

Gary "it really is silly and strange for CBS/Paramount not to make these reunion films available separately" O.

CBS/Paramount can do a single disc release of The Man From UNCLE reunion movie, but not of The Wild, Wild West reunion movies, for the fans who originally bought the season sets? Geez, what a company.

When A&E came out with a bonus disc for the Emma Peel megaset, they made it available on amazon to those who already had the sets. It would be nice if CBS/Paramount were to do this.
