I took time yesterday to watch the new Extreme Edition of Terminator 2. Of course, I have seen this film in its entirety several times. This time I enjoyed the added commentary and the "bonus Icons" that would flash then and agian on the screen and when "clicked" would whisk you away to a short "How was that done featurette!"

I enjoyed it so much I watched the credits to the very end. As the credits to the disc were finishing up I saw a credit to HOME THEATER FORUM! Wow! I took a double take! Can you tell me what input the HTF had on the creation of the new T2 disc?

    Darren,

    You found it!

I was told that we were in the credits, but we
were not able to find it.

We have a habit of meeting with Van Ling over
dinner every year. He loves to throw ideas out
to us about upcoming projects. At the time, he
was putting together ideas for Terminator II:
    EXTREME Edition
    .

We offered to put up a post in the software area
asking HTF members what sort of features they would
like to see added or changed for an upcoming title
    that was to be re-released.

It was the membership that offered Van some great
pointers, and hence, he kindly put us in the credits.

Look for our chat with Van on July 1st.

ahhhhhhhh...so paying close attention to reading the credits DOES pay off!!!

Actually, I always read the credits. Many of us take for granted the thousands of man hours and hands involved in a single production. Each person should have their due recognition. One of my favorite movie credits is from Shallow Hal. During the credits they have also captured film snipitsof these many names actively working or just goofin' off. What a awesome tribute!!!

Just for grins, if I had a chance to contribute to the DVD....I would have requested a T:3 Rise Of The Machines Trailer and a hidden Easter Egg of "The Making Of T:3".[IMG]

Yes I remember that thread very well indeed and as I recall at the time, it was David Lambert who guessed that it was for Terminator 2

    great stuff indeed

    Parker,

No, I have not viewed the HD version yet. The credit was not included with the original credit release, but added along with several others after. I did not return to see if it was also shown after the movie without choosing the commentary dialogue feature..but I would presume it is.
