What do you guys think? I'm looking for a decent front firing sub for my appt. I am either going to buy a decent 10 or 12 inch sub from PE and the PE plate amp or I was thinking of going with the HTD level three sub. Since I"m living in an appt. there's no need for svs type bass. Which would you do?

    Thanks
    Nick L

I would go with DIY, if yo uhave the time. The HTD sub is not really known to be up to par with their other stuff

If you take a Dayton 12" DVC and put it in a 80-100L enclosure tuned to 20-25hz with a 4" flared port with a 250W plate amp you'll have an SVS level of bass. If you put it in a smaller sealed enclosure you'll just give up some extension.

The DIY "low end" is SVS type bass. [IMG] I second Dustin's motion.
