I'm building a dedicated HT in part of the garage. The maximum space I can get is 11 ft wide by 22 ft long by 9 ft 8 inch height. I've read a number of comments on this forum by acoustics specialists, and there seems to be a strong consensus against an 11 x 22 shape. My question is, which is the better of these two options?

    1. Go with the full space, and sacrifice acoustical perfection (I'm not into sound perfection, I just want to enjoy a good DVD and watch some sports on TV).

    2. Cut down the length of the room to around 17 feet to get better ratios, and sacrifice some total room size? I need two rows of seats and a 103 inch diagonal screen with front projection, which I think will work OK with this roon length.
