Having installed a new receiver with a fairly small LCD-type display, I wondered if any company makes a receiver that has a video chip on board that outputs to unused video lines on a TV? It sure would be nice to adjust the various receiver controls via large display on the TV or have the "Dolby Digital" indicator ON the TV rather than the receiver.

Most Onkyo/Integra receivers have "monitor out" jacks for composite and S-Video. They output whatever commands the remote is sending and combine it with whatever is being displayed on the monitor, but don't have an "always on" display for things like "Dolby Digital". And, it doesn't work if your monitor is displaying a component signal.
