Hi Experts!!!,

I am very very new to this Forum and have Zero knowledge in HT setup. Can some one guide me if this is a Good configuration for HT (Attached Screenshots from my friends chat) as I am going to follow a friend who already went with this configuration (he got 1% knowledge which is better than Zero). I know I need to research a lot before going for this setup but with kids around the house not getting time. Please guide me. I really appreciate your help or thoughts for further inputs .. I watch movies(Indian) and 10-15% music may be it will increase later...

That's all competent gear. I believe that some might recommend going with the JVC DLA-RS440U (also known as the DLA-X590R, I believe) over the Sony 295 for about the same price. The JVC is not native 4k (it's eShift) but it's got better contrast in use, which many find produces a better image despite lacking ultimate resolution.

For long-run HDMI cables, I've seen the RUIPRO specifically recommended and have bookmarked it for my own later purchase. But I can't say personally whether this or that cable works better or worse.

But if your buddy has done his research, and you're happy with what you've seen of his setup, there's something to be said for buying a system that you know and have easy help on. :)

Thanks Dave I saw his Setup Yday was not much impressed with Picture Quality though... I am open for suggestions as I have not bought any item yet. Price point of +2-4K is fine on top of my friends setup
