I'm just starting to build my HT room and was thinking of putting some pot lights in for lighting and wondered where the best place to put them in a HT is?I was thinking of a couple just above the tv?And is it better to paint a darker color?and do you guys paint the ceiling. I have a 47"tv right now but I'm roughing it for a projector.thanks guys

In general, darker colors are better, especially if you plan on going with a projector. The screen wall is usually the most important. Flat paints are also preferable over gloss paints to prevent reflections.

On lighting, you want to avoid placing the lights in any way that they'll shine directly on the screen. I personally like some dimmed lighting on the side walls, aimed toward the wall.
