I just sold my brother my old Marantz 5200 receiver, and he's looking to pick up some small HT speakers (I mean small) to fit a small home theatre into his small family room. We just checked out five tiny Harmon Kardon (not sure of the spelling) speakers that come with 10" down firing sub - all in a package for $399.00 CAN It sounded pretty good in the showroom. The salesperson said that the speakers were actually manufactured by JBL. They're about the size of your typical computer speakers. Anybody have any experience with this setup?

    khoa is correct.

regarding the satelites, ive heard more negative things about it then positive, when i heard a demo of it, at a store a while back, i found it too bright and piercing for my taste, the sub didnt get my attention much either, the sound form the sub was dirty sounding.

why not take it home and audtion them? make sure that store has a good return policy first eh.
