I'm putting in a new home theatre in a room that sits on a concrete slab. I'll be sealing the concrete and maybe putting something like a dri-core or cork for moisture and cold problems. But the big question is do I go hard surface, like a hard wood floor which I'm putting in the rest of the house or do I go with an underlay and carpet? Which treatment will improve my sound?

I wouldn't recommend hardwood for a theater. We laid commercial carpet and a thick pad on top of concrete for ours.

Clay I was chewing on putting down PERGO over the concrete floor because I want to feel the sub. How does the sub perform on concrete?
