i have the cht-10. I figure I can sell it for 150-180 dollars.

Would the extra $150 I would pay for an stf2 be worth it?

would the extra 400 for an svs be worth it?

    thoughts?

20-39pci is the sub u should go for.... yes it is worth it.

BUT.. since u are already there - why not spend the additional 200$ and go for the 20-39PC+? U will be SOOOO SET.

Get the STF-3 (or LFM-1) over the STF-2. If you are going to upgrade, upgrade.

I agree, I own an STF-2 and it would be a very nice improvement over the CHT-10, but if you can you mine as well go big and go for an STF-3 or an SVS.

It always surprises me when somebody pushes the SVS 20-39's over the 25-31's (or any other combination for that matter) with almost no information about the user.

I absolutely LOVE my 25-31 in my huge living room. I have heard 20-39's and found extremely little difference. I've built my own sonosub that would fit somewhere between the 25-31 and the 20-39. And after all this I still prefer the 25-31.

If you're even considering the 25-31 then I'd guess that you're not in the category of people who need or would even appreciate the advantages of the lower tuned subs. In fact you'll probably revel in the extra output across 95% of the bandwidth that the 25-31 gives you. Not to mention the extra protection against over-excursion, assuming you're getting a powered cylinder.

i just think that the lower extension is preferred over overall spl. i had the 22-31pci and i returned it for the 25-31pc+. i have it tuned to 20hz and for movies it is great!

i think sacrificing a little output for extension to 20hz is a very justifiable decision.. just my two cents.
