I'm looking into getting the sub for my system. I've read a lot of positive comments on both subs too. I have a small room 12x12. Equiptment so far is JBL E30s (mains), JBL TXL 140s (surrounds), Yamaha RX-V1300 (recievier), Pioneer DV-563A (DVD), and a small 20 in. TV. I really would like some good tight base, as opposed to sloppy shake the room base. I do listen to SACDs a fair amount too. For this reason I'm leaning towards the Hsu because of it's claimed "musicality". I'm not to sure about this though. Also, I don't want to spend much more than $300 (the price of the Hsu). Please give me some advice. Thanks. Chris

I haven't heard the Hsu, but I'm sure you can't go wrong there. I have the recently discontinued Dayton 12" in a larger room. I also listen to a fair number of SACDs and DVD-Audios. I think the Dayton is terrific for music Not at all boomy. You can hardly go wrong for $120, and you can always send it back if you don't like it.
