Is anyone familiar with the "bass boost" on this amp? Right now I've got it turned all the way down. When I'm done calibrating is this something I can use if I need to boost the bottom end a little or better off not using it??

TIA....Mike

heya,

if i remember right, its a set 1/2 octave width with a variable center frequency from 20-50hz. the higher in frequency you set it, the more bandwidth it affects. do your calibration with it turned off...0 db boost. if you have a dip in the response you can center the boost on that freq and give it a slight bump. then remeasure. or, if you have lspcad from the adire site (daul tempests, right), load up your sub's specs, then you can sim the boost in lspcad's eq application to see what happens before you adjust anything. play with it. see what sounds right to you.

edit: one thing to remember about boosting is...boost and pay for it with headroom. but you shouldnt have any probs with that amp.
