Since global warming is a hot political topic, let us not discuss it here.

He thought the article would be a humourous read. He wasn't trying to be political. People should lighten up a bit.

[IMG] Good article. Glad to see someone is working on a solution. And I'm sure the sunflower farmers are happy.
Besides, I don't consider global warming a political issue.. I would classify it as a scientific issue.

Besides, I don't consider global warming a political issue.. I would classify it as a scientific issue.

It is only a scientific issue if you just want to observe the phenomenon and make predictions on what might occur. How well the science meets reality will ultimately be proven or disproven by observation.

It becomes a political issue however once you take those predictions and observations and begin to form public policy based on their merits.

    Along the same lines:

    A) Evolution is a scientific issue.
    B) Whether to teach evolution however is a political issue.

Seeds from many species of plants are capable of surviving the digestive tracts of animals. In fact, some plants depend on this for reproduction. Also, since animals move around when grazing or becoming food for predators, the seeds will tend to scatter away from the parent, minimizing competition for resources with offspring.

Yeah I thought it was a funny read.
Karl, one could take almost any thread in the after hours lounge and turn it it a political debate. The members who have been here for some time usually know where to draw the line. This coming from a guy that participated in the WTC rebuilding thread. Now if any thread has the potential to get political... [IMG]
I really didn't think my flatulating cows thread would strike someone as such
