How to turn off Microsoft media player's visualizations (1 Viewer)

I have an .AVI file I'm trying to play and media player plays the sound but no picture, instead I get media player's visualizations as if it thinks it's a music file.

How can I get it to play as an AVI?

it's probably encoded with DiVX, you need to download it from from Divx.com
