How to tell if my player has the Chroma bug? (1 Viewer)

I just bought the Denon 2800 and was not aware of the Chroma bug until returning here and reading up a bit on it. The manufacture date on the player states Sept. 2001

Am I ok? How do I tell if I have the Chroma problem. If I find that I do have it which player should I pick up instead?

If you do a search for Chroma error most likely dozens of hits will come up.
I have a Pioneer Elite DVD-37 which is supposed to be the worse and I don't see, my friends don't see it. But many have and do.

Simply put: if you see scenes with red in them, and there are honeycomb patterns in the red areas, you're seeing the chroma bug.
