How to set up Blu-ray for receiver lacking HDMI input? (1 Viewer)

I have a five year old receiver (Denon 985S) that doesn't have HDMI input/output -- but I love it. My plasma TV has two HDMI inputs.

How do I hook up a blu-ray source (e.g. from a PC that only has HDMI output) so that I get the HD video on my plasma but also get some encoded digital audio signal to my receiver?!?

Does an HDMI audio/video splitter/converter exist? Do I just have to toss my otherwise wonderful receiver out and upgrade? Do I have to use a different blu-ray source that has a separate digital audio output that would solve the problem?

(Also posted similar question to "basic" thread.)

Thanks.

You just run separate audio cable (optical / coax SPDIF) from the Blu-ray to your receiver for the audio. Or perhaps the PC has multi-ch analog out, you can use that. Worst case you may need a new audio card on the PC.

Don't post same question to two threads, once is enough; keeps discussion in one place.
