Stephen,
You need to hook it up to the subwoofer output on the 3801. Use any decent rca video cable. Run the cable from the sub output to cahnnel 1 input on the samson. You should have gotten an adapter with the amp (RCA to Phono). Set the gain to max on the samson and adjust your subwoofer volume on your 3801. I am assuming you are hooking up an SVS sub?
Dalton,
I have my Samson set to -10dB and still have my sub set -6dB to keep the SPL the same. I figure that equates to about +5 dB over the other speakers given the LF error of the Radio Shack SPL meter.
Is there any reason to set the Samson to max gain? If so, I'd think I'd have to set the sub to -16dB to keep the balance the same.

Ok I'm getting it
Is the RCA to Phono Adapter the big fat golden pin?
I need to plug that to my subwoofer cable and pluck it in channel one?
Just push it all the way in or..I dunno if it will fit all the way in cause it's kinda hard, don't wanna risk breaking it
Thanks!
