Hi,

My vcr is mono. Is there any way to get the stereo channels from my TV coax cable into my H/K 5.1 receiver for tv sound? My tv does not have an audio out.

The receiver will not decode stereo. If your cable box doesnt have stereo out(many dont), I would suggest picking up a new VCR. They can be had relatively cheap(less than $75)or maby even a good used one at a yard sale or pawn shop.

Some TV's like my direct-view Toshiba, will take a coax cable input and then provides a L/R audio OUT that I can run to my receiver for amplification.

Even though I can do this, I still use my hi-fi VCR to get stereo from my cable feed.
