Sorry if this has been covered before, but the search function is not working for me at the moment.

A friend of mine just purchased a new Samsung HCN473W widescreen RPTV for $999.99 at Fry's. I am working on getting it calibrated and need to know how to disable SVM on this model.

So far the picture also looks very grainy, but I have heard that Samsungs are very dirty inside and need a good cleaning, so hopefully this will clear up that issue. But I really need to know how to get rid of the Scan Velocity Modulation! Thanks for any info.

With TV off, press Mute 1 8 2 power seqentially to enter the service menu. Select 'Video Adjust 2' and then set VM Level to '0'.

At least this is how it is done on an Samsung HCP4752W.
