I'm in kind of a dilemma here. My virus scanner System Suite says it can't scan the system volume folder because it's encrypted, yet it it detects 2 viruses in there when I run the All In One program. The virus scanner alone can't detect the viruses. I have Windows XP home edition on my computer. So ho do I go about decrypting it so I can clean it?

Do you know what was used to encrypt it? Without knowing it will be basically impossible to answer.

Sorry, but if you did not encypt it with windows and you do not know how it got encypted, then you are just out of luck. Do you have other users on your computer? If you do, the folder has to be decrypted from the same user that encypted the file. Try logging onto your administrator account by booting up in safe mode, and then try decrypting it with the info I gave in my earlier post.

Other than this, the file will not be able to be decrypted.
