How to connect a sub with left and right line inputs? (1 Viewer)

I have an Onkyo 595 receiver. It has a single PRE OUT for a sub. My sub (Axiom EP175) has left and right line inputs. Do I connect to just one of the inputs or use a y-cable and connect to both? I am connected to the right input only right now and it seems to be working OK.
Thanks,
Mike

You can do either. I have a 595 too, and I use a Radio Shack Gold (less than $10) Y connector to my HSU sub. In the HSU manual they suggest using the Y connector so the sub gets a slightly stronger signal so the "auto off" does not kick in too soon. I dont think it is a big deal either way.

Here is the web page for my sub: http://axiomaudio.com/products.cfm?productID=EP175
There is no description of the connections. I have a manual at home, but it is not very descriptive either.
Here is my question to Axiom and their response: http://207.228.226.248/wwwthreads/sh...psed&sb=5&vc=1 They said to connect to just one input.
This sub has a crossover dial. I have it set to the max frequency so the receiver is making the crossover decesion. There is also a phase switch and a volume dial.
I have ordered a y-cable, so I can try and see if there is a difference.
