I feel like there should be a simple solution to this issue, but I can't figure out what it is.

When logged into Apple TV on my computer, I click on a movie and it brings up the description page. There is an "iTunes Extras" button to click if there are extras included with the movie, and then a menu comes up where I can access those.

When I'm using the Apple TV app on my television via my Roku device, if I click on a movie, it just automatically starts the movie. I am not presented with a clear option to view the extras when using the TV.

The Batman has audio commentary with Matt Reeves which is, unfortunately, exclusive to iTunes/Apple TV. I think it should have been included on the physical Blu-ray, but that's not whet happened. I know it is there because I have found it on my laptop after clicking the iTunes extras button. But I don't want to sit at my relatively small laptop screen listening to commentary for three hours. I want to do that on my TV.

Does anybody know how to get to the extras while using my television?

Thanks.

This is one of the largest complaints with the Apple TV app on non-Apple devices. There is no real work around unless you have an iPad or iPhone and cast it to your TV if it supports AirPlay, but again those are Apple devices.

I do have an iPhone but have never tried to use AirPlay. My television is s Samsung and I use a Roku to stream.

I suppose the best way to do this would be to start the movie with Blu-ray on the TV, mute the sound, and play the commentary from my computer at the same time while looking at the movie on the TV screen.

That's super annoying.

Roku supports AirPlay, and so do more recent Samsung TVs.

Good to know. I have not had occasion to look into that before. Thanks.

I did go ahead and run the commentary via my computer while playing the Blu-ray muted on the TV. Synching them was a pain, and I don't think it was perfect. But I eventually got it to where they were within a few seconds of each other and made do. The commentary was really informative and interesting, and Matt Reeves spoke throughout the entire thing with no lulls. But I really hope that if he does a commentary for the eventual release of Part II that WB just puts that on the disc itself.
