How the quality of the Emerson EWR20V4 dvd recorder/vcr? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone tried this model? I'm getting my parents a vcr/dvd recorder combo unit for Christmas and the price for this one seems right. Not sure about the quality though, so if anyone can share an opinion, I'd appreciate it.

I work for a company that Emerson Radio is the majority owner of (it's not an electronics company). In the many years I've been here I've noticed that Emerson products seem to be getting better. I don't have experience with this particular product (I mostly see the Microwaves and small radios here at the Dallas warehouse) but if it's anything like what I've been seeing here then it's decent quality and totally acceptable for any non-audio/videophile.
