How much polyfill do you think I'll need? I'm using a shiva in a 2.2 or so sealed box, I'm planning on using about an inch all around all surfaces on the inside, do you suppose this will be sufficient?

Go for 50% fill rate, which would be half a pound for every cubic foot of volume (about 1 pound of polyfill). If it doesn't tighten up the sound, add in another 50% (for a total of about 2 pounds of polyfill). Experiment with the fill if you're adventurous. You can get the polyfill at fabric stores or even Wal-Mart.

the sub's on backorder so I have plenty of time to obsess about it. Here's the cabinet (it's one of the ones MCM sells, not too bad at all for the cost) if nothing else it makes a nice end table for my chair [IMG]
