My Tosh 50H81 is being delivered today. What is an appropriate amount to tip the delivery people?
Are they nice? Wipe their feet?
Were they on time (or at least timely)? Did they apologize if not?
Did they help settle it into its final position?
Where is the final resting position? 3rd floor bonus room? Basement, via 2 steep staircases?
Did they carry away the boxing materials?
What was specified for them to do in the delivery contract? Curb side or white glove?
$10-30 each? And the offering of a Coke post delivery??
Just my 2 cents
Tx for the info, Gregg! The answers remaing to be seen... they have a 9-12 window this morning (2:15 remaining). The location is basement, 1 flight of stairs, 2 tight corners.
Ok..... How much did ya tip em ???
I delivered TVs for a while so perhaps I can help. If it's a big TV and it's going up or down any stairs, $10-15 per guy is a good tip, $20 per if they do an excellent job with a tough delivery. Also, your average delivery guy appreciates the beer tip as well - a sixer of nice brew (provided your delivery person is of age, of course!) is always a welcome tip. Many delivery guys don't often expect any tip at all, so even a $5 tip per guy for smaller TVs or easier deliveries is certain to be much appreciated!
waiting for mr.pink to chime in........
