How much polyfill? (1 Viewer)

I just wondered if there was a general rule of thumb for the amount of polyfill to put in a closed sub box. Im using a box 2 ft^3 internal volume and this sub clicky if you have any recomendations

not sure what type of sub you have?
in my 67 litre sealed Shiva sub, used about 2 lbs. of polyfill, which was recommended on the Adire online dicussion site. even though it was designed for an auto application, i tried it out beforehand in our home listening room. it sounded excellent!

I'd start with ~1.5-2 lbs and go from there.

The rule of thumb is 0.5-1.5 lbs/cu ft

One more question while I have your attention. What do you usualy use to make the seal between the speaker and the box? I was looking at some door/window foam strips but it didnt seem like it was solid enough to make a good seal... Im sure this question and my polly fill question get asked a lot but I didnt find any anwsers on any of the diy sub pages i looked at.
